The “Swingman”

Looking for holiday gift ideas for the basketball fan on your list? The NBA released their annual list of teams that will be wearing a special edition Christmas-day-only jersey, this year called the “Swingman.”  Thank goodness these “traditional-styled” tank-top jerseys are toned-down from last years sleeved outfits that looked like pajamas. And this year, the players FIRST name will be on his back.

How bad do you want it? How’s $110 each sound? Check them out at www.NBAstore.com and let me know what you think: Love them? Hate them? Or prefer to simple enjoy the fashion show with your Christmas ham: Wizards@Knicks, Thunder@Spurs, Cavs@Heat, Lakers@Bulls, Warriors@Clippers.

The Touchdown King

Peyton Manning now reigns as the NFL’s all-time touchdown king! Last night the Broncos quarterback threw his 509th touchdown pass, breaking Brett Favre’s record.

I could not be happier for Peyton Manning on this record breaking achievement in his ongoing illustrious career. Manning is one of the NFL’s all-time greatest players and, in my opinion, a true class act both on and off the field. Last night, Peyton Manning made history. If you ask me, it was well deserved.

Is there any quarterback in the league today that has a chance of catching him? Brady? Rodgers? Brees? Or will this record stand the test of time?

50/50

In case you don’t already know, I am a fan of all things Houston Texans. So when I heard that coach O’Brien gave Jadeveon Clowney a 50/50 chance of playing this Monday night, needless to say but I was excited.

We haven’t gotten to see much of the No. 1 overall pick this season due to a knee injury he suffered in the Texans season opener. His official return has yet to be announced, however, it was expected to be between 4-6 weeks after his September 8th surgery. Now five weeks removed and I’ve got my fingers crossed that Clowney will be back on the field sooner rather than later.
